THE COMPANY The entrepreneurial vision of Beatriz Canedo Patiño along with the success achieved on her "Haute Couture" and "Couture" Collections in New York City, led her to open in 1994, a Fashion House, BCP Alpaca Designs S.R.L, in her native country, Bolivia - home to the Alpacas, Vicuñas and Llamas – with the aim of exporting to the demanding markets of Europe, North America, Australia and Asia. After years of intensive work, the company succeeded in putting together a team of professionals in Bolivia capable of combining her creations, manufacturing and marketing know –how together with the age-old techniques employed by the indigenous Aymara people in the use of the highly complex Cameloid fabrics. The company is well–known for offering training opportunities in high fashion tailoring, with a personal interest of employing persons with special needs. The great incentive of Ms. Canedo Patiño for returning to her country was to export her designs with the "Made in Bolivia" label and therefore presenting to the world the excellent and impeccable Bolivian know–how. Also, the company is very committed and operates with high social responsibility and supports sustainable development for the communities of cameloid farmers. Beatriz Canedo Patiño personally oversees her designs and the entire manufacturing process which transforms her creations into finished garments - from selecting the raw materials to inspecting the smallest tailoring work, dressmaking and embroidery details. She has been able to achieve the highest standards of industrial excellence while showing to the world the extraordinary splendor and quality of cameloid fabrics. From the beginning in 1987, Ms. Canedo Patiño has been deeply committed to the preservation of the environment, having the highest respect for bio-diversity, working with ecological and organic materials. Through the years, the Company has been honored with numerous awards and distinctions.
