THE DESIGNER                                             

Beatriz Canedo Patiño began her professional career as a designer 26 years ago, therefore becoming a true pioneer by offering complete and timeless Collections in the finest of cameloid fabrics in the following Lines: Casual, Day, Evening, Accessories, Brides and the Home Line.

After years of studying and intensive training with Couturiers in Paris, she began promoting the extravagant and remarkably versatile Alpaca, Vicuña and Llama fabrics in New York City, where, in 1987, she founded her Fashion House, Royal Alpaca Inc.

Beatriz Canedo Patiño's fashion lines are inspired by the natural beauty and elegance of the ecological and organic materials that she uses and by their texture and natural drape. The purity of her designs do not compete with nature, rather one could say that they complement nature. She manages to combine the timeless with the contemporary, the sophisticated with the practical, always bringing a touch of glamour and perfection to each element of the finished product.

The excellence of her creations has brought her recognition worldwide. It was not long after establishing her Fashion House that she was dressing celebrities, members of the European and Asian royalty, society's elite, politicians and important business people from various different countries.

The specialized fashion press has christened her as "the Queen of Alpaca", an honor that she is profoundly proud of, since she was born in La Paz – Bolivia, where the source of her inspiration originates, the native land of the Andean Cameloids.

Ms. Canedo Patiño as a person, designer and entrepreneur has always been involved and deeply dedicated to various social causes, she is highly committed to those abroad and particularly to those in her own country – Bolivia.
